The Green Bay Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department endeavor to enrich the quality of life to all people by creatively providing and enhancing leisure opportunities!
The City of Green Bay partnered to create a parks prescription (Rx) program called Green Bay Parks Rx-a local, clinically-based effort to encourage balanced, healthy lifestyles and help prevent obesity. By linking together the health care system and The City of Green Bay Parks and Recreation Department, Green Bay Parks Rx is a prescription for families to get more active in the Green Bay area.
Join us for our first-annual Chill Chaser! From January 1 – March 31, 20 parks around Green Bay will have a symbol hanging in the window of the shelter located at the park. When you visit the park, draw the park’s symbol into the chart provided. Once you have visited at least five parks, bring the chart to Green Bay City Hall, Room 510, to receive a prize and be entered into an awesome drawing. Check out which bus routes you can take to get to different parks.
