City Right-of-Way Excavation Permit Request

  1. Permit Review Approval Process

    Complete permit applications are reviewed and processed in the order they are received. It may take up to three (3) full business days to receive an approved permit.

    A complete permit application includes ALL of the following items: 

    1. Permit application.
    2. Contractors must have insurance and bond on file with the City’s Risk Management department.  Any questions please call 920-448-3125 or email certificates.insurance@greenbaywi.gov.
    3. Site Plan: including location and cut sizes of each excavation.
    4. Approved Utility Letter Permit Cover Page, if applicable.
    5. Gantt Chart or Construction Schedule if work exceeds the allotted two-week timeframe.

    Work may not begin until all approved permits are received from The Department of Public Works.
