Public Art Grants Program

  1. Choose a project name that is descriptive and will allow reviewers to quickly identify the proposal. 

  2. The minimum amount to request is $2,500. Maximum request is $10,000. The amount requested should match the total expenses listed in the Project Budget below.

  3. Describe the project and how it connects to your artistic practice. As applicable, include details about your artistic practice and vision, project location(s), intended audience, collaborators, partners, and contractors.

  4. Describe a timeline for completing the proposed project. Consider including major project milestones that will help you measure progress.

  5. Describe tangible outcomes of the project. Clearly define the deliverable end-product that will demonstrate completion of the project. For clarifications about eligible projects and project outcomes, contact City staff.

  6. Download the Project Budget Worksheet. Fill out, save, and upload the budget. Please use file types: .xls, .xlsx, or PDF.

    A detailed Project Budget is an important piece of evidence for the feasibility of the project.

  7. If the project budget exceeds $10,000 please describe the plan for paying for the expenses beyond the maximum award amount.

    If there are aspects of the project budget that require explanation, describe them above. Additional budget documents can be uploaded in the Work Samples boxes in the “Supplemental Materials” section below if necessary.

  8. Supplemental Materials

    IMPORTANT:

    In order to be considered for funding, an application needs to include evidence to support the grant criteria. The Arts Resume field and Area/Income Benefit field are required; the other fields are strongly recommended but may not be applicable to your submission. An application does not need to use every field below in order to be considered complete. For assistance with supplemental materials please contact City staff.

  9. Include information that reflects career advancements, professional accomplishments, and training, up to 4 pages.

  10. Include information relating to the project's eligible area benefit and/or benefit to low-to-moderate-income individual(s).

  11. If applicable, upload letter(s) of support from partners, collaborators, mentors, etc.

  12. Work Samples

    Depending on artistic discipline, work samples might include images, PDFs, video or audio clips, curricula, learning modules, press articles, or marketing materials. Additional work sample upload boxes are available below. For technical support or assistance on work samples please contact City staff.

  13. Electronic Signature Agreement

    By checking the "I agree" box below, you agree and acknowledge that 1) your application will not be signed in the sense of a traditional paper document, 2) by signing in this alternate manner, you authorize your electronic signature to be valid and binding upon you to the same force and effect as a handwritten signature, and 3) you may still be required to provide a traditional signature at a later date.
