The City of Green Bay Department of Community & Economic Development will be holding a public engagement meeting to gather input for the redevelopment of the Shipyard site (100 W. The event is family friendly and will include activities for kids. Light refreshments will also be offered.

Meeting Details

WHERE:      CUP O JOY - 232 S. Broadway, Green Bay, WI 54303
DATE:            TUESDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2018

TIME:           6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

The aim of the Shipyard Project is to catalyze neighborhood revitalization through the construction of a year-round attraction that will draw people to the waterfront for events and activities. Preliminary plans include an athletic field to be used over 200 days of the year for soccer, football, rugby, lacrosse, ice hockey, ice skating, and other sports; concerts, festivals, large-screen viewing, runs and walks, markets, and other special events. Waterfront amenities, such as an urban beach, playground, and splash pad could encourage healthy outdoor movement and provide the adjacent neighborhood with access to the Fox River. A shipping container business park could provide a place for food, beverage, and retail entrepreneurs to start and grow their business without having to invest in significant amounts of capital.

More information about the project, including an online survey and plans will be made available at
