Mayor Schmitt, Green Bay Public Arts Commission to unveil 

downtown sculpture funded by WPS Foundation donation

Green Bay, WI – Representatives from the city of Green Bay and Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) will be joined by artist Kent Hutchison to officially reveal a new 23-foot sculpture during an unveiling ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 19, in the city’s downtown.

WHAT: Unveiling of new downtown work of art

WHEN: Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 4 p.m.

WHERE: Northland Avenue and Washington Street, Green Bay

The work of public art, titled “Embark,” was created by Hutchison through a $100,000 donation by the WPS Foundation to the Green Bay Public Arts Commission. The sculpture symbolizes the significance of the Fox River and the commitment of WPS to Green Bay through five aluminum panels that rotate independently in the wind.

Interviews with Mayor Schmitt, Hutchison and WPS representatives will be available at the ceremony.
