(Green Bay, WI)  On Tuesday, September 25, Mayor Schmitt’s Move With the Mayor, a 30 minute mid-day walk, will host local educators and John Clymer, Executive Director for the National Forum for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention.  John Clymer will announce the results of the National Forum's study on the positive effects of Move with the Mayor on employees' health.

National Forum focuses on preventing heart disease and stroke by implementing the ABCS  which are: appropriate aspirin use, blood pressure management, cholesterol control, and smoking cessation.  The National Forum is also focused on health equity which is defined as the “attainment of the highest level of health for all people” and recognizes that achieving health equity requires a focus on efforts to address avoidable inequalities, historical and contemporary injustices, and the elimination of health and health care disparities.
