(Green Bay, WI) – Green Bay’s City Deck has won a Great Places Award through the American Planning Association’s Wisconsin Chapter. This award is meant to recognize public spaces that make communities stronger and bring people together through good planning.  A press conference will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pine Landing of City Deck (301 N. Washington Street, Green Bay) to present this award.

City Deck, located along the east side of the Fox River, is a year-round activated space that was a catalyst for development in Green Bay’s downtown. Its playful design makes the space accessible to all users, and the excellent programming done by the City and its partners makes the space available for users of all ages, abilities, and preferences. The award-winning design is the perfect mix of active and passive spaces. The Great Places Award acknowledges City Deck’s design, popularity and success.
