Art will soon be springing up around the City of Green Bay in the form of painted pyramids and local sculptures.
The City of Green Bay’s Public Arts Commission approved the installation of sculptures for our Rotating Art series. “Swept” created by Kent Hutchison is crafted from metal and will be placed on one of the six concrete pads in the City.
The Arts Commission has also created several pyramids, constructed of wood and primed for local artists to create a four-sided mural. The temporary primed pyramid structures will be popping up around town soon and will eventually be painted on and embellished by selected local artists later in October.
Any artists interested in applying to paint one of these sculptures can submit design proposals to the Green Bay Public Arts Commission. Details on the project can be found on the Green Bay Public Arts Commission Current Opportunities webpage here: https://greenbaywi.gov/580/Current-Projects
Artists and artist teams of any age are encouraged to apply. Selected artists will receive $350 to complete their proposed design. The application will be available until September 17th.
