(Green Bay, WI) Mayor Schmitt announces that, in honor of Jerry Kramer being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the Nitschke and Walnut Street bridges will be lit in green and gold for this weekend, "We're proud of Jerry Kramer, not only for his quality playing as a Green Bay Packer, but more so as a great ambassador for the City of Green Bay. Congratulations, Jerry!" The Mayor also proclaims August 4th as "Jerry Kramer Day" in Green Bay, and asks the community to join him in this recognition.

The City of Green Bay installed led-color changing lights on the Nitschke and Walnut Street bridges in June, 2018. Philips/Signify designed the lights and Northern Electric installed the system. The color-changing lights will be programmed to celebrate local, regional and national holidays and events.
