[ARCHIVED] CITY-WIDE SNOWPLOW OPERATION IN EFFECT

City of Green Bay logo

City of Green Bay's Department of Public Works is conducting a City-wide snowplow operation today (Thursday), December 22, 2022.  Salt will be applied to arterial streets after being plowed. Temperatures will start to drop after 3 p.m. today (Thursday) to a point where salt will not be effective.  During super cold periods, Public Works crews apply traction sand as needed until temperatures rise enough to make salt effective again.

National Weather Service forecasts more snow today and overnight into tomorrow (Friday).  Public Works anticipates completing another City-wide snowplow operation again tomorrow (Friday), December 23, 2022.

City of Green Bay streets will be cleaned up before the Christmas weekend.  Public Works wishes all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  Please drive carefully.  It's winter in Wisconsin.
