[ARCHIVED] Green Bay Bridge Lighting Ceremony

Please join Mayor Schmitt on June 20, 2018 to inaugurate the City of Green Bay’s new bridge lighting.  The lighting system was created and manufactured by Philips Lighting/Signify.  The lights are LED, energy efficient and color-changing.  Northern Electric, a local contractor, installed the lights this past month. This new lighting will allow the City to acknowledge the Packers, high school activities, national celebrations, charitable organizations, and much more.

The Bridge Lighting Ceremony will begin at 8 pm, with music by The Talk of the Town.  Making remarks will be: Mayor Schmitt and a member of Current Young Professionals.  We are pleased that Philips Lighting/Signify will join us in our celebration of the new lights.  In attendance will be:  Jhawn Newman, Head of Operations for the Americas; Jean Cantrell, Director of State Government Affairs; Doug Palmer, Government Affairs; Steve Truebner, Public Sector Solutions-Midwest Director; Ian Ruben, Designer, Bridge Lighting Systems; and Rubens Costa, Senior Systems Architect.  We will demonstrate new color schemes for the Walnut and Ray Nitschke bridges, beginning at 8:50 pm.  Adjacent businesses will be open during and after the event.  Viewing of the bridge lights is available along the CityDeck.
