CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER! The unveiling of Green Bay’s newest sculpture will be postponed.
Please join Mayor Eric Genrich, Public Arts Coordinator Laura Schley, and local artist David Windey to unveil Green Bay’s newest sculpture.
DATE: Thursday, February 4th, 2021
TIME: 1:00 PM
PLACE: Green-space located on the corner of Webster Avenue and Harvey Street behind the Green Bay Metro Station and the Green Bay City Fire Station 2.
The piece titled “A Convenient Inconvenience”, was funded using Community Development Block Grant dollars from the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Green Bay. The 12 foot tall stainless steel sculpture depicts several stages of a dandelion’s development and is the newest addition to the green-space which houses several other pieces of public art.

Local artist David Windey has had experience working in metal fabrication and installation for over 30 years. Evolving from a family-owned custom metal shop, Windey currently works at his studio located at 1940 Hwy PP, De Pere, WI 54115.
