City of Green Bay Establishes Covid-19 Business Relief Grant Program
(Green Bay, WI) – Businesses located within the city of Green Bay may now apply for assistance through the City’s Covid-19 Business Relief Grant Program. The City has allocated $150,000 to be disbursed to eligible applicants as soon as possible in order to provide much needed financial relief.
The City will provide grants up to $5000.00 per 10 full-time equivalent employees, with a maximum of $25,000 for eligible businesses that experienced significant financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The program is a grant program in response to the Covid-19 outbreak for businesses that have lost business, are on the verge of closing, or need assistance to maintain employee(s) throughout the pandemic. It is also intended to support businesses that want to open new lines of business in response to the crisis, such as manufacturing medical supplies needed to respond to the disease or providing cleaning or in-home health services.
Many of our local businesses continue to struggle with the health and economic impacts of COVID-19,” says Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich. “Thanks to the support of our Redevelopment Authority and our Common Council, we’ve created this grant program to supplement some of the resources offered by the state and federal governments.
