Mayor Genrich and Green Bay Police Host a Community Meeting at Divine Temple

(Green Bay, WI)  On Thursday, June 25th, 5:30 PM at the Divine Temple Church of God in Christ, 425 Cherry Street, Mayor Genrich, the Green Bay Police Department and the Divine Temple will host a community meeting to discuss uses of force, and to open-up more lines of communication, engagement and dialogue between the City, Green Bay Police Department and the community.

The meeting will include an update from Mayor Genrich, Chief of Police Andrew Smith, and a presentation on Wisconsin Use of Force guidelines. One goal of the presentation is for the community to understand the concepts of the police department’s use of force, and for the City to provide insight into the policies and procedures of the Green Bay Police Department.  Members of the Police and Fire Commission will also be present, as well as members of the Common Council.

All residents are welcome to attend this meeting virtually through “Facebook Live” at the link below, or in-person. If attending in-person, the sanctuary of Divine Temple will use COVID-19 precautions, and therefore seating will be limited.  In-person attendees will have temperatures taken, be given a mask, will be asked to hand-sanitize, and will be seated six feet apart.
