The City of Green Bay recently announced that they had purchased 10,000 sandbags to be given away to City residents.  The sandbags were to be used to allow residents to protect their homes against storm waters in the event of flooding.  Due to the popularity of the program, all sandbags have been distributed as of May 1, 2020.  As a result, the City is shutting down the sandbag distribution center at 420 South Broadway.
