Green Bay Brings City Hall to the People with Pop-Ups at Summer Events

(Green Bay, WI) – Officials and staff with the City of Green Bay will be taking business to the streets this summer with a Pop-Up City Hall planned at popular public events. The goal of the Pop-Up City Hall is to reach residents where they are and provide better opportunities for the public to learn about City services, programs, and major projects. The City also wants to hold conversations with residents to learn their ideas to improve the community.

“We hope to make City Hall more accessible by bringing it right to the people”, says Mayor Eric Genrich.  “We understand that visiting City Hall during the work week can be a challenge for some residents, or even intimidating. The Pop-Up City Halls offers a convenient and friendly opportunity for residents to engage face-to-face with us and discuss topics important to them.”

Residents can expect to see the Pop-Up City hall the following summer events:

  • Summer Solstice Celebration, June 20, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Whitney Park
  • Seymour Park Neighborhood Picnic, June 22, 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Seymour Park
  • Open Streets, July 13, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at CityDeck
  • Market on Military, July 25, 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Green Bay Plaza
  • Farmers’ Market on Broadway, August 7, 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Broadway between Walnut and Dousman St.
  • Better Block, September 20-21 on Adams St. between Walnut St. and Cherry St.
