[ARCHIVED] Annual Spring Cleaning of 3 Fox River Bridges Requires Temporary Closures

The Green Bay Public Works Department is announcing the temporary closure of 3 bridges crossing the Fox River for annual spring cleaning:

Wednesday, April 24, 6 AM - 3 PM, Donald Tilleman Bridge (WIS 54, Mason Street)

Closed west of the Fox River on W Mason St at Ashland Ave. Closed east of the Fox River on E Mason St at Monroe Ave. Mason St traffic will be detoured across the Fox River over the Walnut St Bridge via Ashland Ave, Walnut St, and Monroe Ave.

Thursday, April 25, 6 AM - 3 PM, Walnut Street Bridge (WIS 29, Walnut Street)

Closed west of the Fox River on W Walnut St at Broadway. Closed east of the Fox River on E Walnut St at Washington St. Walnut St traffic will be detoured across the Fox River over the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge via Broadway, Dousman St, Main St, and Monroe Ave.

Friday, April 26, 3 AM to 3 PM, Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge (US 141, Main Street)

Closed west of the Fox River on Dousman St at Broadway. Closed east of the Fox River on Main St at Washington St. Main St and Dousman St traffic will be detoured across the Fox River over the Tilleman Bridge via Ashland Ave, Mason St, and Monroe Ave.

All work operations and closures are weather dependent and subject to change. Motorists should anticipate backups and may want to use alternate routes. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained at all times.
