Bridges Lit to Commemorate World Hemophilia Day
(Green Bay, WI) The City of Green Bay is partnering with the Hemophilia Outreach Center in order to commemorate World Hemophilia Day. On April 17th, the Nitschke and the Walnut Street bridges will be lit red starting at dusk, to raise awareness for World Hemophilia Day.
The Hemophilia Outreach Center is dedicated to improving the care of and quality of life for people living with blood disorders as well as raising awareness for blood disorders such as hemophilia. “Considering that such small populations of individuals are diagnosed with a bleeding disorder, this population tends to be overlooked. Hemophilia is quite rare. About 1 in 10,000 people are born with it,” remarked the Hemophilia Outreach Center.
