The Green Bay Public Arts Commission is assisting the Green Bay Military Avenue Business District in selecting artwork to be installed on utility boxes along Military Avenue.
Until May 12, 2019 the Green Bay Public Arts Commission will be collecting submissions for the new utility box artwork program. Original artwork selected for the program will be printed on vinyl and attached to select utility boxes. This is the first year of the program in Green Bay, but it is inspired by similar programs in Appleton, Wisconsin and Madison, Wisconsin.
The program is open to artists 18 years or older. Artists may submit up to 10 designs, the designs must be the original work of the entrant. Final selected artists will receive $200 for their design.
There are a few guidelines:
Designs cannot have legible logos, words, letter or numbers.
Military Avenue Business District and the Green Bay Public Arts Commission are looking for artwork that is high quality, engaging, positive, and reflects concepts of Green Bay, pride, community, diversity, patriotism, unity, and togetherness.

To submit designs, fill out the application form and drop it off at City Hall - Department of Community and Economic Development,100 North Jefferson Street – Room 608, Green Bay, WI 54301-5026 or email to laurasc@greenbaywi.gov or to director@militaryave.org by May 12, 2019. The final selections will be announced later in May.
