[ARCHIVED] City of Green Bay to Collect Bulk Waste in East River Flood Zone

Due to the flooding of the East River on March 14-15, 2019, many homes in low-lying areas near the river sustained significant flood damage. Many homes within the flooded zone are expected to need bulk waste disposal for items damaged in the flood. The City of Green Bay has completed mapping of the area affected by flood. The City of Green Bay will provide curbside bulk waste collection to residents within the flood zone until end of day, Friday, April 5, 2019.

Residents may also bring flood-damaged items to the Department of Public Works Bulk Dropoff sites, located at the West Side Garage using the entrance on Redwood Drive off of West Mason Street and the East Side Garage using the entrance off of Deckner Avenue. Residents are encouraged to bring identification demonstrating ownership of a property within the flood zone. The drop-off center hours are Monday – Thursday 7am – 3 pm, Friday 7 am – 6 pm, 2nd and 3rd Saturdays of the month 7 am – Noon. A map of the flood-impacted zone is available on the City’s website at
