Craft Brewery Day

Thursday, September 26, 2019

Craft Breweries around the State have made an amazing positive impact on our communities.  The community and economic development impact ranges from increased physical tax base in properties, the job creation and supply chain impact (groceries stores to delivery drivers), and the community place impact of having a gathering place in a tap room. And, most importantly, the community impact of redeveloped, reused and new buildings in our communities, especially in our downtowns!

Governor Tony Evers, Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes, WEDC deputy secretary and COO Tricia Braun and other state, county, city and community leaders will be celebrating the economic contribution of craft brewery development projects throughout the state.

WHEN: Thirstday, September 26th, 2019 - Wisconsin Craft Brewery Day

WHY: Wisconsin Craft Brewery Day is a day to celebrate the positive impacts that craft brewery development projects bring to our local communities, especially in rural areas.

WHERE: WEDC will have 8 events around the State from 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The one in our region is slated at the Taproom at Titletown Brewing Co., 320 N. Broadway, Green Bay at 3:00 p.m. Please join us in celebrating Titletown’s impact to Green Bay and craft breweries throughout Wisconsin.

In addition to the breweries already being featured, there will be a Statewide Cheers at 4:30 p.m.   The goal is to stream the event on Facebook live and/or take a picture and post. Be sure to use #WICraftBeer.

Quorum: Please take notice that it is possible that members of the Common Council may attend resulting in a majority of quorum of the Council. This may constitute a meeting of a Council for purposes of discussion and information gathering relative to this event.
