National Forum focuses on preventing heart disease and stroke by implementing the ABCS which are: appropriate aspirin use, blood pressure management, cholesterol control, and smoking cessation. The National Forum is also focused on health equity which is defined as the “attainment of the highest level of health for all people” and recognizes that achieving health equity requires a focus on efforts to address avoidable inequalities, historical and contemporary injustices, and the elimination of health and health care disparities.
