The Green Bay Metro Fire Department currently employs over 200 men and women. The majority of employees are assigned to the Fire Suppression (Operations) Division. The firefighters are assigned to one of three 24-hour shifts that, when computed over a 27-day period as required by the Fair Labor Standards Act, averages 53 hours per week.
