Beginning Monday, November 12, 2018, the Department of Public Works will begin its final round of loose leaf and yard waste collection.

Upon completion of that rotation, all equipment will be transitioned over for snow plowing and winter road maintenance. All leaves and yard waste remaining for collection must be out to the curb no later than Sunday, November 11. After November 16, residents must dispose of their own yard waste. Yard waste left at the curb after November 16, 2018 is subject to collection fees. Please reference the locations of the two City yard waste sites at the bottom of this page that are available for residents to dispose of yard waste after November 16.

Relevant Year-Round Information

The City of Green Bay collects yard waste curbside 2 times per year, once in Spring and once in Fall. The collection dates change yearly, weather dependent. Yard waste left at the curb outside of designated collection dates are subject to collection fees.

Yard waste sites are open to City of Green Bay residents only, no contractors. Yard waste sites are open daily from 8 a.m. to sunset.

Acceptable Items at Sites

  • Dirt and sod
  • Garden trash
  • Grass clippings
  • Leaves
  • Brush, branches and shrub trimmings

Unacceptable Items at Sites

  • Any container or bag
  • Contractor-generated debris
  • Garlic Mustard (should be placed in a garbage bag and placed in your garbage cart)
  • Rocks or stones
  • Trash
