Message from Chief Knott

Dear Residents of Green Bay, Allouez, and Bellevue:

In the past year, our team of firefighters and support staff have worked tirelessly to enhance our emergency services, deepen community engagement, and adapt to the evolving needs of our city. Our focus in 2023 has been on several key areas:

Firstly, our commitment to emergency response has been unwavering. Through ongoing training and the integration of advanced technologies, our firefighters are better prepared than ever to handle a wide array of emergency situations efficiently and effectively.

Additionally, fostering stronger ties with the community has remained a top priority. We've conducted a record number of educational programs, fire safety workshops, and outreach events aimed at raising awareness and promoting fire prevention and safety measures across all age groups.

Investments in both our personnel and equipment have been strategic. By ensuring our firefighters have access to the best tools and resources available, we guarantee prompt and effective emergency responses while maintaining the highest safety standards for our team.

Embracing innovation has been pivotal. Throughout 2023, we've explored new technologies and methodologies to enhance our emergency response strategies and improve overall departmental efficiency.

Our collaborative efforts with other emergency services, local authorities, and community organizations have been key to our success. These partnerships have enabled us to coordinate our efforts seamlessly and provide comprehensive assistance to our residents.

Looking ahead, we will continue to strive for excellence in service and seek avenues for continual improvement, always keeping the safety and well-being of our community at the forefront of our mission. I extend my deepest gratitude to the residents of the communities we serve for your unwavering support and trust in the Green Bay Metro Fire Department. Your support fuels our dedication to serving you with professionalism, compassion, and integrity.

Sincerely,

Fire Chief Matthew Knott
