Greater Green Bay Area – World Record Zumba© Class

The Green Bay Park and Recreation Department in coordination with LIVE 54218 and other greater Green Bay community partners will attempt to set the Guinness Book World Record for Largest Zumba© Class. The record attempt will be made on September 14th, 2013, 2:00 pm, at historic Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI – the Saturday before Green Bay’s home opener.

The attempt is aiming to have 10,000 participants and will be made in the Lambeau Field parking lot. The Zumba© Class will be 31 minutes long and will be led by Zumba© Certified Instructor Kari Merrill along with 100 other instructors and group leaders. This event is open to the public and will be appropriate for all age, skill, and experience levels as we look to put the Greater Green Bay area in the record books! Volunteers and event coordinators will also be on hand to help participants, record/photograph the event, and assist with verifying the record attempt. Not only will this event help promote healthy and active lifestyles in the Greater Green Bay area, we also anticipate the event bringing in fans and participants from the surrounding area who wish to be part of record making history. The application for the World Record attempt has already been filed and accepted. Participants will also have an opportunity to print out a certificate of participation if a world record is successfully set.
