Public Legal Memorandums

The City Attorney may issue legal memorandums to explain areas of law that are important to city business.  These memorandums differ from legal opinions issued to city officials.  Legal memorandums summarize or reorganize existing laws into a more understandable format, do not include any legal advice, and are available to the public.  Legal opinions analyze a specific legal question for a city official, provide legal advice, and are only available to city officials.
