Scheduled for completion in late 2013, the $45 million dollar VA Clinic is maintaining its planned construction pace. More than 100 people are employed for the construction project. Once completed, the facility will employ 200 people; servicing about 20,000 regional veterans annually.
Passersby have noted that they can see the building progress, almost on a daily basis. All told, the 161,000 square foot clinic at 2800 University Avenue will offer ambulatory surgery, diagnostic imaging, a women’s clinic, a specialty clinic and a mental health department. The project groundbreaking for the clinic was October 20, 2011.
