Local organizations will announce over 160 events happening downtown from May through October at a press conference on Tuesday, May 3, 10 a.m. at Veterans Park (200 Museum Place). The announcement will unveil the 2016 “Summer in the City” guides and showcase new event additions.
Listen to the Feel Good Kids, a band featured at downtown events throughout the summer as we kick-off summer! The “Summer in the City” guides will feature series events, festivals, attractions, fitness events and restaurant listings. 40,000 guides will be available at the announcement and at downtown businesses and sponsors locations starting May 3.
Downtown Green Bay, Inc. and Olde Main Street, Inc. Executive Director Jeff Mirkes will emcee the event. Additional guests will include City of Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt, Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitor’s Bureau President Brad Toll, On Broadway, Inc. representatives, Mosaic Arts, Inc. Executive Director Tina Quigley and representatives of Baylake Bank’s Tall Ships.
