Due to yesterday’s significant snow event (official recorded snowfall of 13.3 inches) the City of Green Bay declared a snow emergency effective through today (December 29, 2015) at noon. Green Bay’s snow emergency has now expired. However, Green Bay-DPW continues to clear residential streets.
To assist DPW in completing the snow removal process, the City of Green Bay-DPW requests that residents not park on-street until their road has been plowed. This will reduce the need for DPW to re-plow streets where vehicles were previously plowed in.
As of noon on Tuesday, December 29, approximately 2/3 of all residential streets have been plowed. DPW will continue to plow until all streets have been addressed.
Also due to the significant snow event, the start of today’s DPW trash and recycling collection process was delayed. Any resident who does not get their tipper carts collected is asked to keep them at the curb. DPW will collect all trash and recycling this week as planned.
City of Green Bay-DPW thanks residents and visitors for their understanding and support in addressing this winter storm event.
